Hi! I'm Amanda - aka 'Kitty' - and I'm currently new to the whole LJ thing, don't expect a lot quite yet! LOL. I'm 23 years old and I currently live with my parents in WV - born and raised here - and my pet cat Squeak, two stray cats that we now call our own even though they don't live in the house, and one hermit crab named Clay. I am of the Christian faith, a member of the Church of Christ since 2001, and I also bowl in a church league with my dad and two other members of our church every Friday evening, which is fun fellowship even though I'm not the best bowler, LOL. Entertainment-wise, I fell in love with the show Supernatural in its first season and I have been to two Supernatural conventions in Florida, heading for a third this March! Through these conventions I have met several actors from the show, including my favorite actor, Jared Padalecki...he was beyond awesome both times - gave me no less than FIVE huge hugs b/t the two conventions and now owns two drawings from me - and I'm so looking foward to seeing him again come March! I also am a big fan of the band Matchbox Twenty and their lead singer Rob Thomas...have been to two of his concerts and they were both awesome! I enjoy writing creatively - I have written one Supernatural fanfiction so far and I enjoy reading others as well. My biggest hobby is art, however...I love to draw and paint, I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's in art from the University of Charleston in WV, and though I currently have no job, I plan to always at least do my art on the side if not for a career. I greatly vary in subject matter - I've done everything from realism to abstract, landscapes to animals, and people to cartoon characters! LOL. I have one autographed drawing of Rob and two of Jared, I also have a Best In Show award that one of my pieces recieved in my senior year of high school in a county-wide art competition, and I had one college painting gain entry into the prestigious Appalachian Corridors Art Exhibit, held at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV, in 2005. And all of these pieces are now on proud display in my room, along with many other pieces! LOL. Besides drawing and painting, I've also done some sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital imaging, and even...woodcarving! LOL. Which I will never do again, BTW. And I also count Halloween as being an art project every year...I go all out with my costumes and scenarios, I'm famous for it in my town! LOL. Lots of fun. I've been to two WVU Mountaineer football bowl games - Gator Bowl 2007 and Meineke Car Care Bowl 2008 - also lots of fun (cuz we won both! LOL) and my dad and I try to go to as many home games as possible.
